Hope for Guatemala

HISTORY
At the age of 14, Jose began to travel extensively as a missionary. God confirmed to him a specific call to help children and families who did not know Christ and were living in economic distress. The ministry started with Jose and his family serving about 25 children 3 days a week. Using borrowed pots and pans from his parents and holding on to the vision God had placed in his heart many years before, Jose launched Esperanza para Guatemala (HOPE for Guatemala) in 2005.

TODAY
God has blessed the ministry greatly over the years. HOPE currently serves close to 150 children who represent approximately 80 families, and as a result positively impact the lives of more than 1000 people in Zone 18.

These children come every weekday to City of Hope.  City of Hope is the name of our ministry center in Zone 18.  We have converted a building located on 50 acres of woodland and farmland into an oasis for the children.  The facility has a full kitchen, bakery, classrooms, beauty salon, farm, and of course a soccer field.  It is a safe place for the children to come to every day and eat, learn, play, and draw nearer to Jesus.

Only 1% of Guatemalan students graduate with a professional degree according to statistics provided by USAC, the national university of Guatemala. As a result, we offer daily tutoring and vocational training. We provide the children with school supplies to do their homework and projects as well as adult supervision and assistance with their assignments. In this way we motivate the children to continue their studies, learn a trade, and even dream of going to college.

Our vocational programs include a beauty salon, bakery, sewing, and a farm.  Through these the children are able to learn a profession that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Global Impact Ministries International

Meet The Founders
Mark and Victoria are the founders of Global Impact Ministries International, a ministry dedicated to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached people of the world. Both Mark and Victoria received Christ when they were seven years old. Shortly after graduating from RHEMA Bible Training Center in 1993, they moved to Mexico to serve the Lord as missionaries.

In Mexico, they taught in a Bible school, ministered in churches, and evangelized on the streets. After that Mark served on pastoral staff at Victory Christian Center in Lockport, NY for four years. From 2003 to 2007, Mark and Victoria volunteered as instructors at DOMATA India, a four-month school that trains men and women for the ministry. Since graduating from DOMATA School of Missions in 2000, they have been running with the vision that burns in their hearts - world evangelism. Since January 1st, 2001 they have been conducting Good News Miracle Festivals and Faith and Fire Leadership Conferences.

Thousands are saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit in the Festivals. In addition, the conferences help mobilize local ministers to plant churches in unreached neighborhoods and villages. Hundreds of churches are being planted as a result of the nationals being strengthened and challenged in the conferences.

When not overseas, Mark and Victoria minister in churches across the USA where they teach life changing subjects from the Word of God and impart a spirit of revival and faith.

The Bowlings have three wonderful sons - Nicholas, Samuel and Stephen, who all love Jesus.

Mission
The Mission of GIMI is the evangelization of the world. We are moving forward with this vision through Good News Miracle Festivals, Faith and Fire Leadership Conferences, raising sponsorship for national church planters, and anything else the Holy Spirit leads us to do.

Since 2001, we have seen more than 320,000 people call on the name of Jesus for salvation in the festivals. Thousands have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. Multitudes have been healed by the power of God. There is significant church growth as a result of the outreaches.

In the conferences, ministers are being strengthened in the faith. They are being mobilized to multiply and plant churches in unreached areas of the world. So far, there are over 11,000 churches planted in seven nations as a result of the festivals and conferences.

Across the Nations

Rev. Jim and Sue Chrietie
We are Jim and Sue Christie.  After serving at King's Kids Village in Nairobi Kenya for over seven years, we have accepted the call to serve along side a Faith Christian Fellowship pastor in Eldoret, Kenya.  Our vision is to train pastors so that their areas may be evangelized.  We will hold crusades and the new belivers will then be able to be discipled by pastors equipped in the Bible schools.  At present, there are five Bible schools, including one in Uganda.  To further the vision, our team plans to expand Bible schools into northern Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan within the next five years.  We will be traveling to the schools two to three weeks per month, as well as, preaching in our local church plants in Kenya.  This ministry relies solely on prayer and financial partners.  Would you please consider partnering with us to further advance God's Kindom?

About
The Lord has opened the door for our family to work with a team in planting a high impact urban church in the heart of Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo. Our desire is to reach, rescue, and restore the lost and broken-hearted, showing them the hope and love that Christ offers to all. Our focus will be on ministering and discipling young and old, helping them embrace the life God has planned for each one.

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? Romans 10:14-15a
